These Terms of Sale set out the conditions under which you purchase from Bulbyco™. By placing an order through this website, you accept these Terms.

1. Company Information

This website is operated by Ipek Gorur, trading as The Layer Theory. Our studio is based in Lisbon, Portugal, at Rua Fernando Farinha 35A, 1950-448 Lisbon. For any questions about your order, please contact us at info@layertheory.com

2. Products and Orders

Each The Layer Theory piece is described and photographed with care. Small variations may occur, reflecting the unique nature of our production. Orders are confirmed by email once placed. If, in the rare case, a product is unavailable, we will notify you immediately and issue a full refund.

Age Restriction: You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to place an order through our website.

3. Prices and Payment

All prices are shown in euros (EUR) and include VAT where applicable. Shipping costs are added at checkout. Payment must be completed before dispatch. We accept major credit cards, PayPal, Klarna, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

4. Delivery

Our products are made to order. Estimated delivery times at checkout are indicative and may vary slightly. Responsibility for the goods passes to you once they are delivered. If an order is not collected or accepted, we may charge you the cost of return shipping as well as a handling fee of up to €15 to cover related expenses.

5. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

As an EU customer, you are entitled to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason, under Portuguese Decree-Law no. 24/2014. To do so, contact us by email with your order number. Goods must be returned within 14 days of notice, and you are responsible for return shipping costs. Refunds will include the product cost and standard delivery fee, excluding any additional fees, and may be withheld until goods are received and inspected.

6. Returns and Refunds

Items must be returned unused, complete, and in their original packaging. If goods show signs of use, are missing parts, or are damaged beyond what is necessary for inspection, the refund may be reduced. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days after inspection.

7. Warranty

All products are covered by a two-year legal warranty under EU law, protecting against defects in materials or workmanship. This does not cover misuse, accidents, or normal wear. If a defect is confirmed, we will repair, replace, reduce the price, or refund the product. For valid warranty claims, return shipping is covered by us. If the warranty does not apply, you remain responsible for shipping costs.

8. Liability

Our responsibility for any claim relating to your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the product. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

9. Events Beyond Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or transport disruptions.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Lisbon, unless mandatory law entitles you to bring the claim in your country of residence. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/index_en

11. Consumer Dispute Resolution and Complaints (Portugal)

In accordance with Portuguese Decree-Law no. 144/2015, consumers may turn to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). For online purchases, the competent ADR entity is CNIACC – Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo. Further information on ADR entities is available on the Consumer Portal. 12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including texts, images, graphics, logos, product designs, and layout—is the property of Ipek Gorur or its partners. Any reproduction or use without prior written consent is prohibited.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Sale from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order is the one that applies. Updates do not affect confirmed orders.
